ADECCO MONACO is recruiting an analyste permanent control for a permanent contract.
 
The role is to perform the suite of controls related to Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and Technology/Cyber activities, assessing the efficacy of controls performed by the Barclays first line of defence, identifying any control gaps, issues or weaknesses and escalating these to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Senior Management.
In addition, the role requires the successful applicant to support the Chief Risk Officer in the regular review and implementation of the local Risk Mapping, the assistance of the secretariat of risk fora (Risk Committee, Permanent Control Forum, etc.), as well as the design and review of the annual Control Plan. 
Work in close collaboration with all other bank Risk and Control functions, spanning all 3 Lines of Defence, in order to develop a rounded understanding of the Bank’s control framework, ensuring that the Control plan remains current, relevant and effective as second level of control.
The above includes in particular Compliance, Financial Crime, Operational Risk.
Executor of the Monaco Control Plan, completing the defined controls in a timely manner and according to defined frequency, escalating results to the Chief Risk Officer and Senior Management with a view to ensuring actions and issues are addressed by the appropriate functions.
Assistance of the Chief Risk Officer in the coordination and management of Risk fora, including but not limited to the Risk Committee and the Permanent Control Forum.
Logging and assignment of Issues and Actions (identified as a result of the execution of the defined suite of controls), liaising with appropriate stakeholders to agree responsible parties, description of Issues and Actions, as well as appropriate deadlines for remediation to be completed.
Undertake periodic review of the Control Plan in order to ensure that the controls continue to provide an effective and comprehensive 2nd line evaluation of the controls and risk management performed by the 1st line.
Support the Permanent Control team in the fulfillment of their responsibilities, including (but not limited to), the regular review, amendment and implementation of the Local Risk Mapping, regulatory reports or statutory auditors’ requests.
Other responsibilities as identified by the Chief Risk Officer, from time to time.
Ensure that local risks are appropriately managed through a consistent control framework aligned with Groups Standards and local regulations.
Review and challenge controls and, in case of issues, action plans
 
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and all internal Barclays Policies and Standards.

 Your profil :
 
The appropriate candidate should possess at least 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in a risk management or control performance role within a Financial Services firm, ideally with a strong exposure to Wealth Management / Private Banking business. 
 
The right candidate will have a good command of the control, regulatory and risk issues in Financial Institutions and be able to assess it critically, with a view to suggesting enhancements. This should include knowledge and understanding of Compliance, AML, ALM and Tech/Cyber activities.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the regulatory environment in Monaco and France. S/he will display a willingness and initiative to learn about processes & products.
The right candidate should possess a recognised, relevant professional qualification.
S/he will be discrete and dependable, given the role will involve access to confidential data and will likewise be organised, methodical and comfortable with working to fixed and occasionally demanding deadlines. 
The successful applicant will also display interpersonal and diplomacy skills, with an ability to convey messages and create buy-in and acceptance, irrespective of the function and seniority of his/her counterpart in the organisation. 
 The right candidate should be fluent in written and spoken French and English.
